TERJE FOR MAYOR! SNOWBOARDERS HAVE A VOICE! VOTE HAAKON!!!
Snowboard legend Terje Haakonsen, founder of the Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour, has been nominated for 2007 Citizen of the Year! He’s in heavy contention with a bunch of old guys and some other citizens of Oslo Norway, the town in which the vote is concentrated, so support for Terje is crucial. He is being nominated for his accomplishments in snowboarding including the organization of the prestigious Arctic Challenge as well as the success of his local organic bakery “Korn” in Oslo. Currently he is sitting 5th in a field of eight nominees and there has been over 9000 votes already. Voting only lasts for a short while so every snowboarder needs to click on his picture to vote, and support Terje in possibly the most important poll ever!

WORLD SNOWBOARD DAY: WILL YOU BE RIDING?
On Sunday, December 23, 2007, 44 resorts spanning 13 countries worldwide will come together to help all those who are missing out to discover what every snowboard loves: to get on a board and ride. World Snowboard Day brings a large number of free activities to the benefit of every rider form beginner to pro including free lessons, demos, concerts, product testing, exhibitions, environmental awareness, and more. Organized and coordinated by EuroSIMA (European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association) and the WSF (World Snowboar Federation), the goal of World Snowboard Day is to promote snowboarding and its culture. Whether you’re a bum-sliding beginner or pow-slashing pro, it’s time for every rider worldwide to simultaneously experience the addictiveness of snowboard on December 23rd.
